For each major release of Mn_Fit I send some release notes to my list of
Mn_Fit "tsars". If you want to be included on that list please let me know.
The release notes can be found in NEWS under the heading where n is the major
version number and m the sub-version number.

Version v5_00 onwards of Mn_Fit currently runs on Linux. Making it work on
other Unix machines should be straightforward.  I just need to know what
options are needed for compiling and linking.

The VMS code has been kept, but the last working VMS release is 4.07/35, which
uses Patchy for the code management.

The only graphics interface that is currently supported is HIGZ/X11. Code for
PLTSUB has been kept, more as an example of how to use a different package
than in the expectation that it would still work! Support for different HIGZ
interfaces, such as GKS has been dropped.
