Pic2fig was generated from tpic mainly by hacking the imPress driver routines
to create the Fig code generating routines in figd.c.

When placing text inside boxes, PIC specifies its location by the center
of the baseline. The definition of Version 1.4 Fig code allows for this
kind of text object specification, but the Fig program and the standard
translators from Fig code to other graphics languages do not.

The Fig Version 1.4.FS and the Fig code translators in releases 2 and
later of the TransFig Version 1.4 package support centered and right-justified
text objects. Consequently, pic2fig works best when used with these tools.
